1Corinthians 11:3  But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

1Corinthians 11:3, I am offering this as my interpretation of that scripture.

There have been excellent explanations of 1 Corinthians 11:3, presenting various perspectives and providing compelling examples of how doctrines are formed.

While many have explained the spiritual aspects of this scripture, they often overlook its natural meaning. By focusing solely on the spiritual interpretation, some have inadvertently lost sight of the original intent of the scripture.

I’ll try to explain the purpose rather than the spiritual aspect. Neither can be denied.

Paul is explaining the natural order of humanity’s position within the creation of God, as decreed by God. This has little to no impact on an individual’s salvation, unless it is disregarded or dishonored due to ignorance or rebellion.

By natural selection, guided by the Almighty God, there exists a pecking order. God established this order twice: once during the creation of the world and again during the curse placed upon Satan, Adam, and Eve.

In the order of creation, God first created Jesus, then man, and finally, woman. This order is not a recognition of political positions but rather a reflection of creation, power, and responsibility.

Each creation was meticulously crafted to support and enhance the advanced structure of the previous one. It was designed to uphold, sustain, and further develop the intricate design of the one that preceded it.

God is greater than Jesus, who is greater than man, and man is greater than woman. This is the natural order of things. However, there’s an exception to this rule. God, in his plan of grace, created the woman to be greater than her children.

It’s undeniable that the woman was specifically created for the purpose of bearing children and serving as a companion to men. This design was not a whim or fancy conceived by man it’s a biblical fact, and Paul acknowledges it as a fundamental aspect of human understanding and fulfillment.

Every woman should embody meekness and virtue, demonstrating the ability to compromise, negotiate, and be subject to her husband’s agenda, just as her husband should be subject to her agenda.

Jesus was not destined to be the Almighty God, nor was man meant to be Jesus, nor was woman meant to be man. God is the perfect God, Jesus is the perfect Jesus, and man is meant to become the perfect man, while woman is made to become the perfect woman, all according to God’s plan.

Just as a man must learn to be a leader, a woman must learn to become a follower and helpmate. Biblically, a woman is not called to be an office holder if all the needs of a church can be fulfilled by a man. This is biblical law or understanding.

However, if there is no man to fulfill the position in question, a female can fill it. Similarly, if God decides there is a need, he can put a woman into any position he chooses.

However, the reason a woman cannot hold a position of a five fold position of office in the kingdom of God order is that if married would be subject to her husband.

That is the caveat, a woman in that position would still be under her husband’s leadership and she should be willing to relinquish that position if a man of God becomes available.

The obvious question is: what, when, why, and how is the woman supposed to follow? A woman’s role is to naturally and spiritually follow those who are examples and leaders. She should allow her partner to benefit from her trust and lead her in life. Her life should be intertwined with her companion, the church, and she should be vigilant in trusting those in leadership positions. She should read and study her Bible, take advantage of church positions, actively participate in worship, and be a leader to her church sisters and children. She should strive to be the example that her ministers teach as being a godly woman. She should conduct herself in this manner daily and strive every moment to be the example the Lord would have her to be. By doing so, she will reach perfection.

In a scenario where a man in a leadership position fails to fulfill his duties and no other man is suitable to lead, a woman is entrusted with the responsibility of enforcing God’s commandments and natural government.

Her divine talents and wisdom will be instrumental in securing his rightful place in God’s kingdom. Furthermore, she should inspire and motivate her husband or preacher to overcome their personal limitations. After all, she was created as a companion to man, not as his servant.

Man and woman, in their fallen state of grace, are to be perfected, embodying Jesus in both words and actions. However, a man cannot become a perfected woman. A man cannot undergo the same tests and trials as a woman. The most evident test and trial would be childbirth, as a mother or a wife. A man lacks the understanding and experience of what it means to be a woman in any way. God has not called men to be feminine; they can only be masculine. This is the way of God’s creation.

Ultimately, a woman is free to interpret biblical righteousness as she sees fit. She is responsible for discovering her own authentic path and position within the kingdom of God, rather than usurping any authority held by men.

If a woman fails to acknowledge her place in creation, power, and responsibility, she is either uneducated, in which case it’s a matter of ignorance that falls on both her husband and the preacher she follows, or she’s rebelling against God’s word, indicating that she’s lost her first love.
